Synopsis:

Lia Montgomery has been my best friend since we were kids, but when she moves back to our hometown, we can’t ignore the chemistry between us. And I’ve come up with a plan to make her mine.

First on the list? Make her my roommate.

It seems like a great idea at the time, but one look at her in those little pajama shorts and a thin tee shirt, and all I want to do is throw her over my shoulder, caveman style.

Screw the plan.

A simple dare changes everything between us. But when I’m challenged to do the one thing that could tear us apart forever, I realize there’s more at risk than just my heart.

Sneak Peek:

Too bad you moved a few months too late, or you could’ve rented my old apartment.” She reaches for a box of Lucky Charms and one of Granola.

“Yeah. This works for now.”

“For now? Uh-oh.” She narrows her eyes. “What’s wrong?”

A violent breath fights out of my mouth, and I shake my head.

“It’s because you have feelings for Axel, right?” My eyes pop open, and Ainsley giggles. “I won’t tell, although it’s obvious. You two would make the cutest couple. He’s so into you, too.”

My shoulders slump. “We never had our chance when we were younger, but now I’m worried that moving in as his roommate would complicate things.”

“Or, it can make things really fun,” she winks.

“You’re impossible,” I shake my head, giggling. I tell her about what happened earlier today and her eyes become bigger with each word.

“Go home, hang out with him, and don’t be awkward,” Ainsley demands.

“I know. It’s Axel for goodness sake. We’ve always been able to talk.”

“Exactly. And if you wear sexy PJs, it will help your cause.” I roll my eyes. She’s impossible. “Just a suggestion.” Ainsley holds her hands up, an unapologetic shrug following her actions.

“Okay, I’m going to finish shopping and go home before you give me anymore advice on how to screw my roommate.”

“Not screw,” she lifts a finger to correct me. “Fall in love, and he’s more than your roommate.”

Fall in love. I don’t need advice for that. I’ve been in love with Axel Bentley since I was thirteen-years-old and could decipher love, or so I thought.
