This week marked a year that I published my bad boy, Aiden, in Resisting You. This novella made me fall even more for the naughty men in our romance stories. It was such a fun book to write!

“Do you want a glass of wine?” I need a strong drink to calm me down. I knew when I asked her to stay and eat that I was getting myself into a mess of problems. I’m off my game, but there’s something about her that has me held captive and wanting to get to know her. She doesn’t even realize it.

“Actually, do you have beer? It just goes better with wings.” I look over at her surprised. I’m used to women wanting upscale things around me.

“Yeah, I have Stella. Is that okay?” We’re waiting for the wings to get delivered, but I couldn’t wait to have a drink. If I’m having dinner with a woman in my apartment, I need some booze. Especially this woman, who still has me under her spell. There’s just something about her that pulls me in.

“That’s such a girly beer for a big macho man like you,” she chuckles.

“Do you need a reminder of how big I am?”

She laughs at my comment and shakes her head. “No, I need a break.”

I smile. She’s gorgeous. She’s got something about her that’s natural and carefree. She definitely doesn’t give in to my stubborn ass, and it’s refreshing to have a woman who challenges me. Maybe that’s what I was missing. I was getting bored with my typical choice in women. I needed someone to challenge me. All other women just give in. There’s no fun to the chase anymore.

Not Stacy. No, she definitely made me work for her. And fuck, when I finally got a piece of her, I wanted more. I’m not sure how this is going to end. I walk over and hand her the beer. “Do you want a glass?”

“No, the bottle is fine.” She takes a swig of the beer, and I can’t take my eyes off of her. Lucky fucking bottle.
